Hiroaki Koide of Kyoto University: "Melted Core Outside the Containment Vessel"

Hiroaki Koide of Kyoto University Research Reactor Institute is quoted by Mainichi Shinbun as saying that the melted core of the Reactor 1 is not just out of the Reactor Pressure Vessel but out of the Containment Vessel.

From Mainichi Shinbun, Koide's comments only (5/16/2011):

小出裕章・京都大原子炉実験所助教は「電源喪失で原子炉が冷やせなくなれば、早い時期に炉心溶融に至ることは想定できていたはずだ。燃料の損傷が限定的だとしてきた東電の説明は完全に誤っていたことになる。データの公表も遅すぎる」と指摘する。

Hiroaki Koide of Kyoto University Research Reactor Institute points out that "[TEPCO] could have foreseen the core melt at an early stage when the cooling of the reactor stopped due to the power failure. TEPCO's assessment that the damage to the fuel was limited has turned out to be completely wrong. The disclosure of the data came too late."

According to TEPCO, the data analysis shows that damage to the RPV is not extensive. However, Koide thinks "The RPV has been completely damaged, the melted core bore a hole at the bottom of the Containment Vessel, causing the large amount of contaminated water to leak into the ground beneath the reactor building."

Good to see the censorship wall breaking down. Too late for many, I fear, but still good.

We should really now be discussing about what are the ramifications of this fuel meltdown on human health? What can be done to reduce the impact of this on human/animal health.

Thank you so much for keeping us updated; this is such an important issue for me and my family. While we're far enough away in Yokohama, I'm still very concerned about the food chain. I don't think people grasp how severe this could be.

My uneducated guess that it's already melted through the containment vessel. This is why the temperature isn't high on their readings, and it explains where the water is going..

But what if it does melt into the ground? Does it slowly continue to sink? Could that possibly be a good thing, that it's not airborne and in the atmosphere? If they're diligent in blocking that area (yea, right) and dig deep concrete barricades around the facility, could the outcome be more positive?

Of course, there's ground water, seepage into the sea, and other concerns to be concerned about..

Fighting The Damage Caused By Radiation

After the horrible earthquake in Japan, that has caused all this damage to many of the nuclear reactors that are operating in that country, radiation is now spreading worldwide. With high levels of radiation being released into the atmosphere on a continuous basis, it will have a devastating effect on the lives of most living creatures. But once again if used properly high quality hemp oil can provide a solution that will be of great help to mankind in alleviating this situation. For years I have been telling the public, that every man woman and child on this earth, should be taking small doses of this oil everyday to maintain good health. With all the radiation that is now entering our atmosphere, it is basically urgent, that we now all start ingesting this oil as soon as possible to undo the damage this radiation will cause. Through my experience with the use of this oil, I have found that there is nothing more effective or more harmless that can reduce the damage caused by radiation. I have seen patients that were suffering from cancer who were badly damaged by the effects of radiation treatments, that were able to completely eliminate the damage in a short time. Some who have come to me that had radiation treatments, were burned so badly by its effects that their shin looked like red leather. After ingesting the oil treatment their skin went back to its normal healthy state and the radiation burns disappeared completely. If the oil can do this for someone that was badly damaged by such so called medical treatments, would its use not be effective to combat the effects of the radiation, now emanating from Japan.

There are thousands of reasons why the medicinal use of the cannabis plant, should never have been restricted in the first place. But now with the menace that all this escaping radiation presents, we would have to be insane to turn our backs on the use of hemp extracts to help us all deal with this situation. I truly feel sorry for the misery the people of Japan are now going through and if nothing can be done to stop the radiation from escaping, they may loose their homeland entirely. Don’t be fooled by government double talk, radiation is an invisible but dangerous threat to the well being of us all and only a complete fool would try to say otherwise. The wondrous medicinal effects of properly produced oil from the cannabis hemp plant are finally being recognized once more worldwide. This is just one more reason, we must begin to start growing this plant on a grand scale and it is time that we all told our governments that we have had enough of their nonsense. Our very lives and the lives of coming generations, plus the well being of many other species are at stake and its now up to us, to determine what future mankind is to have.

Best Wishes,

Rick Simpson

Thanks Rick. Great advice in a screwed up world that sorely needs it.

Please look up 'millet seed' and 'Vitamin B-17' or 'laetrile' (which millet seed is a natural source of).
In brief, a molecule of laetrile incorporates a 'locked' molecule of cyanide, which can be 'unlocked' in only one condition, when absorbed by a cancerous cell, which then kills the cancerous cell but leaves the rest of the body unharmed. It is Mother Nature's 'magic bullet' for cancer in a cheap, natural form. The actual data is a little more elaborate than that, but this will give the general idea. Laetrile has been discredited because the pharmaceuticals manufacturers (and the government agency employees whom they bribe), can't make any money off such a cheap naturally occurring and plentiful substance as millet seed. You need to grind the millet seed into powder and add it to your home-made bread stuffs and baked goods. It's not the ultimate answer to rampant nuclear meltdown, but it's benefits should be self-evident.

This was not an accident. The Gulf of Mexico was not an accident. A lot of other events were not accidents. There's lots more coming! The plan is to kill everything on the planet. The people are not in charge. These beings are not fully human, if even a little. Remember what I'm saying as the situation unfolds. If you don't understand HAARP,
chemtrails, or scalar weaponry just google these terms and get an education. Explaining exactly which race of beings responsible is just an educated guess on my part so I will remain silent on that one.

It may not be in the atmosphere but it will still be released uncontrolled into the environment. Out of sight out of mind (& out of control) isn't the way to deal with high level nuclear waste that remains dangerous for thousands of years.

If the corium is able to breach the foundation and come in contact with the soil below it will cause MAJOR contamination. Once the Genie is out of the bottle it will be next to impossible to put it back in. In the classic worst case "China syndrome" scenario the super heated corium explodes into a huge blast of radioactive steam and vaporized soil when it hits the local water table. It is also possible that the corium wouldn't reach the water table in sufficient quantities to cause explosive volumes of steam. This would still cause venting and heavy contamination but it would be more localized. It may also just slowly form a "stable" accretion like the Chernobyl "elephant's foot formation before it exits foundation containment. One thing to keep in mind is while the reactor building's foundation is very thick it is possible for super heated material to chip and splinter water soaked concrete. Another thing to remember is any major venting would hopelessly contaminate the facility making it nearly impossible to continue stabilization work.

Extending a "slop tray" around the foundations would require a massive effort rivaling the building of the Pyramids in soil that has been absorbing radioactive water for 2 months. It has been alluded to in a comment on this blog that Japanese NPP's are built on solid bedrock. If that is true at Fukushima then a natural slop tray is already in place. The question then becomes is the bedrock truly solid or does it have fractures that will eventually channel concentrated contamination to the sea or inland?

In short if you have a bottle of skunk musk you don't want ANY of it to get out of the container without direct supervision because it is really hard to get it back into the bottle once it spills out, nuclear waste is the same except you can't smell it.

If the core goes through the concrete mat below the primary containment building (it moves at 5 to 20 mm per minute by burning through the concrete) and gets to the water table, the sudden contact with water will create an explosion like you can't imagine and LOTs of radiation will be released at once. It is sort of the worst case scenario... And we may be getting there since no Western reactor has a Corium catcher, like all Russian reactors do post Chernobyl...

no corium "slop tray"... I lived in Santa Fe NM for 11 years and after rehearsal a LANL physicist told me about Fukushima over beer. And I quote, "If Fukushima goes, we can kiss the whole west coast good bye". Once the corium hits the water table it could take out much more than just the west coast. For comfort, no matter how slim and delusional, look in to ufos and ets helping to cleanse the earths' "environment". Yes, hard to swallow and all that, but there is no other hope that I can see. This is dire, but so are about 12 other "news" stories, so get real and loving, quickly, for we may not have much time left... sounds like we are headed to a massive, massive release to me...

So I guess my optimistic hope of the molten radiation mass slowly eating it's way to the earth's molten core, ultimately returning to the 'radiation cycle' is just that; hopeless optimism. ;)

Thanks for the replies, even if it's not what I wanted to hear.

@Bruce said "This was not an accident. The Gulf of Mexico was not an accident.[...]The plan is to kill everything on the planet. "
I would agree to that, just that it is not needed to invoke HAARP or NWO conspiracies with some evil intent but that it is a consequence of how the dominant culture works - it does not need a conspiracy, it is destructive and insane in itself. So it is not an accident that this happens, it is what economists call a "acceptable risk" - just that it is not acceptable for others really - they did not ask me, or the poor people in Africa or the fish or the birds if we agree that is is acceptable, did they?.

Anyways - I am unsure if a corium China syndrome really is likely at this point - if it was bound to happen, it probably would have done so by now as the speed of the descent is not that slow. What would happen is that the corium would get diluted as is absorbs the materials it melts and become less active. If it still manages to get to the wet soil, steam and hydrogen explosions could occur, which could partially be avoided by flushing the building with nitrogen (I think they already do that). If it would hit the water table, that definitely is close to the surface in such a close vicinity to the coastline, the risk of a severe (steam or hydrogen) explosion would rise considerably.

Well this is the absolute worst case then. Tokyo is likely toast. I fear for the oceans of the world, and therefore all the coasts of the world.

Have a little plutonium with your surf this morning?

Can we now finally rid the planet of these horrible, monstrous creations? Our idiot "leaders" are so pathetic they choose to ignore that you have to deal with stockpiles of radioactive waste products for MILLIONS of years!

This was obviously a technology that should never have been allowed. So now we must eliminate it.

Actually, the leaders of both the US and UK make good use of the nuclear waste generated by power stations. They use it in weapons as Depleted Uranium, in countries such as Iraq and Afganistan. If you want to see the effects this has on unborn babies, look up 'Fallujah'. But be warned, the pictures are not pretty.
You don't have to drop atomic bombs to conduct an atomic war!

Unfortunately most major world military forces have started stocking DU munitions in their arsenals. The ironic fact is that nuclear waste is the main component in the cheapest weapon systems that can knock out a $6 million dollar Abrams M-1 tank. Whoever came up with this method of low-level nuclear waste disposal must have got a big raise.
